GM RECALL: 2010 Cadillac SRX

According to recalls.gov, General Motors issued a recall on its sport utility vehicles Cadillac SRX 2010 manufactured in December 2009. Power steering hose may have been damaged during mounting. A crimp in the hose may have negatively affected the line.

This crimping can cause a leak of hydraulic fluid direction. Affected are having fluid loss will produce noise power steering pump, which can lead to loss of auxiliary power to directcars. If the fluid spray on heated elements, could lead to a fire in the engine compartment.

More than 3400 Cadillac SRXs can have this defect. GM dealers are offering to inspect and replace power steering hose for free.
